UNN delegation headed by the Rector Evgeny Chuprunov paid a visit to Serbia from November 13 to November 15.  The delegation included Alexander Bedny, Vice-Rector for International Affairs, Ludmila Ruchina, Dean of the Faculty of Philology, Alexander  Knyazev, Dean of the Faculty of Chemistry, and Kirill Balandin, Assistant to the Rector for International Affairs. In the course of the visit, several working meetings were held with the members of a network of Lobachevsky University’s partner organizations, including  universities, high schools and representatives of the Serbian business community. UNN’s cooperation with the University of Novi Sad received a new impetus. The rectors of the two universities held talks on the development of inter-university cooperation, and new agreements were signed, specifying the scope and terms of the interaction between individual faculties of the two universities. In accordance with these agreements, teaching staff members of the UNN Faculty of Philology  will participate in the implementation of professional development programs for Russian language teachers of the Pedagogical Faculty of the Novi Sad University, and student exchange programs will be organized between the UNN Faculty of Philology  and the Institute of International Relations and World History, on the one hand, and the Faculty of Philosophy of the Novi Sad University, on the other. The Dean of the UNN Faculty of Chemistry Alexander Knyazev gave a lecture to the teachers and students of the Faculty of Technology of the Novi Sad University on educational programs and main research areas of the UNN Faculty of Chemistry. 

 

In the course of the talks with the administration of the Novi Sad Faculty of Technology,  cooperation details were discussed concerning the improvement of educational programs at the University of Novi Sad in the field of petrochemical synthesis in the interests of the "NIS-Gazprom Neft"  company, which is one of the largest vertically integrated energy companies in South East Europe. Relevant agreements were signed to this effect. 

 

During the visit, cooperation was alsо established with Belgrade University, the largest university in Serbia. UNN Rector E.Chuprunov and the Rector of Belgrade University V. Bumbashirevich signed a Memorandum of Understanding. The Dean of the UNN Faculty of Philology  L.Ruchina and the Dean of the Faculty of Philology of Belgrade University L. Markovic agreed on student exchanges and concluded an agreement between the two faculties.
