On May 8, a delegation from Serbia, including Vice-Rector of the University of Novi Sad Sanja Kuzmanović and Deputy Secretary of the Autonomous Region of Vojvodina for higher education and research Dušica Rakić, visited Lobachevsky University.

During the meeting with the delegation, First Vice-Rector of UNN Vadim Saygin thanked the Serbian colleagues for the effectively developing cooperation between the two universities, especially in the field of philology, history and petrochemistry.

The IBBM Director Maria Vedunova and the Dean of the Faculty of Chemistry Alexander Knyazev, who were present at the meeting, informed the Serbian guest about the possibilities of interaction in the field of education and research in the areas of biomedicine and chemistry.

Sanja Kuzmanović told the UNN colleagues about educational programs and recent changes in the structure of the University of Novi Sad. Dušica Rakić reported on measures being taken by the Government of the Autonomous Region of Vojvodina to support projects in the field of higher education and research, including those with international participation. The parties agreed on the need to intensify the faculty and student exchange under the Erasmus program, given that since this year Serbia has been a full participant of the program.

At the end of the visit, Maria Vedunova conducted a tour of the UNN Living Systems Institute for the guests.
