On March 27, first-year international students of the UNN Institute of Information Technology of Mathematics and Mechanics (IITMM) visited MERA, one of the leading companies in the field of information technology. MERA is the developer of custom software solutions for ITC equipment and software manufacturers. In the course of a tour of the company, leading experts told the students about the latest developments in the field of IP telephony and other innovative projects, which are being implemented by MERA. A meeting was also organized with some foreign employees of MERA, who are at the same time senior-year students of the UNN Institute of Information Technology of Mathematics and Mechanics. At the end of the visit, one of the leading experts of MERA Networks gave a master class on the use of typical programming languages, in particular C ++. Thanks to this final event, international students of Lobachevsky University had a chance to see “from the inside” some peculiarities of their future profession, to get acquainted with modern innovative projects and trends and to get an invaluable experience of communicating with leading experts in the field of information technology.
