Lobachevsky University signed a Cultural and Scientific Agreement with the University of Porto (Portugal). 

The partnership between UNN and the University of Porto began with the visit of the Portugal delegation in May 2016. The Agreement was signed as a result of the meeting between UNN representatives and their Portuguese colleagues at the Annual EAIE Conference and Exhibition that took place in September 2016 in Liverpool.

Lobachevsky University and the University of Porto plan to jointly participate in the EU Erasmus+ programme aimed at supporting student and staff mobility. Joint research projects, curriculum development and organization of seminars and conferences are also in the plans. 

The University of Porto is one of the largest universities of Portugal. It was established on March 22, 1911. The University was ranked 323 in the QS World University Rankings 2016-2017 and was included among the top 400 of the Academic Ranking of World Universities 2016.
