From December 18 to December 20, 2017, a delegation of Lobachevsky University comprising Vadim Saigin, First Vice-Rector, Vice-Rector for Economic and Innovative Development, Ekaterina Smirnova, Head of the Center for Educational Programs for Foreign Citizens and Alexander Gorylev, Head of the Center for International Education, Head of Department of European and International Law, visited the Republic of Moldova to take part in the educational fair of higher educational institutions of the Nizhny Novgorod region. The visit of the Nizhny Novgorod delegation to the Republic of Moldova was organized by the Ministry of Education and the Department for External Relations of the Nizhny Novgorod Region Government with the support of the Embassy of the Russian Federation and the Rossotrudnichestvo Mission in the Republic of Moldova. During the educational fair, representatives of higher educational institutions of the Nizhny Novgorod region presented their educational programs in the cities of Comrat, Chisinau and Balti, and conducted screening tests among pupils of schools, lyceums and gymnasiums of the Republic of Moldova. In the course of numerous meetings with the representatives of Moldova’s universities, possibilities of cooperation between universities in the field of science and education were discussed. In particular, Moldovan universities expressed interest in developing joint double-degree programs in economics, management, state and municipal government, journalism and law. Together with the UNN, representatives of the Nizhny Novgorod State Technical University, Nizhny Novgorod Linguistic University, Nizhny Novgorod Agricultural Academy and Nizhny Novgorod State University of Engineering and Economics took part in the fair.
