QS World University Rankings 2016 published recently feature 22 Russian universities. Once again, Lobachevsky University is recognized among the best universities of the world. This year, UNN ranks 701+ in the annual expert ranking of the best universities of the world QS World University Rankings 2016

UNN has significantly improved its positions in Faculty Student category ranking 297 this year compared to 366 in 2015.

The rankings published by Quacquarelli Symonds determine the best universities of the world based on six criteria: academic reputation, student-to-faculty ratio, employer reputation, citations per faculty, international faculty ratio, and international student ratio.

According to Rector of Lobachevsky University, Prof. Evgeny Chuprunov, the university constantly works towards improving the international reputation of its research and education supported by the Russian Academic Excellence Project. “We are constantly updating our R&D and academic facilities and infrastructure, invest in human capital, support leading researchers and young talents, create a unique system of functional integration with institutes of the Russian Academy of Sciences, attract world’s leading researchers and talented students to the university, develop double degree programs with leading foreign universities”, - noted Prof. Chuprunov.
