Maltese delegation visits Lobachevsky University

On September 21, a delegation of the Republic of Malta visited Lobachevsky University. The delegation included: Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Malta to Russia Carmel Brincat, Honorary Consul of Malta Oleg Zaitsev, and President of the Domain Group Nicholas Callus. The meeting was also attended by Vladimir Prelov, Director of the Department for External Relations of the Government of the Nizhni Novgorod region and Elena Mishina, Chairperson of the Committee for External Economic and Interregional Relations of the Nizhni Novgorod Administration.
The guests were welcomed by the Rector of the University Evgeny Chuprunov. Tatyana Bespalova, Vice-Rector for Social Affairs and Interaction with Employers served as the moderator of the meeting. The discussion centered on cooperation between the UNN and the universities of Malta. At the end of the meeting, an agreement was signed on cooperation in the field of education between the UNN and the Domain Group, a leading educational organisation in Malta. The agreement provides for student exchanges between the universities of the two countries.
