On 18-21 May 2021, Lobachevsky University law students took part in the arbitration week held at the University of Montpellier (France). During the arbitration week, Anastasia Buntova, Alexander Mironov and Daria Kagamlyk participated in the CIAM arbitration competition and reached the semi-finals, where they played against the Sorbonne University.

The CIAM Serge Lazareff competition is an international arbitration competition held entirely in French. The objective of this competition is to propose a simulation of an arbitration dispute in conditions close to reality and to prepare students for the peculiarities of arbitration and business law procedures. The competition is supported by the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Paris, the National Council of Bar Associations of France, the Paris Centre for Mediation and Arbitration and Dalloz Law Publishers. Based on the results of the competition, the team of Lobachevsky University was one of the four best teams and Alexander Mironov was recognized the best speaker of this year's CIAM arbitration competition.
