In the framework of the 5th International Business Summit, the Nizhny Novgorod Trade Fair hosted the  Volga Future Forum on September 21-22.  Lobachevsky University Rector Evgeny Chuprunov made this comment at the opening ceremony of the Forum: "Today's professionals should study during their whole life, since technologies for training skilled professionals are changing very fast. You have to learn for the future, build your knowledge reserve in different areas. Mono-training  is already obsolete, and multiexperts, those who  are proficient in more than one area,  become more and more popular in the labor market".

The aim of the project was to organize a communication platform between business, government, investors, and education for creating an innovative system of targeted solutions in the field of human resource capacity development in the Nizhny Novgorod region. Project participants included local companies, representatives of government bodies, educational institutions, public organizations, consulting agencies, as well as residents of the Nizhny Novgorod region. In the framework of the Forum, a marathon of open master classes from Russia’s leading business coaches was held, along with a studio "Career Design Center" and a seminar for employers entitled "Professional orientation outside of the educational process: goals, objectives, technologies".  At the accompanying HR conference of the Volga Federal District, HR market trends in 2016 as well as best HR practices were discussed and current human resource management technologies in the new economic conditions  were presented in the format of workshops and round tables.

The Forum was organized by the Regional Personnel Center with the support of the Nizhny Novgorod Chamber of Commerce,  Lobachevsky University and the company Event Ideas.
