Institute of Economics and Entrepreneurship
The Institute of Economics and entrepreneurship (IEE) was founded in January 2014. In the framework of the implementation of the State University Competitiveness Enhancement Program, three faculties, the Faculty of Economics, Faculty of Finance and Faculty of Management and Business merged together to form the Institute of Economics and Entrepreneurship.
The economic faculty was the oldest part of this amalgamation. It was founded more than sixty year ago and had been offering different training programs. The Faculty of Management and Business set up in the 90th by the Lobachevsky State University of Nizhni Novgorod, was the first faculty in Russia teaching entrepreneurship.
Today the IEE is the largest unit of the University by number of students and teachers. The Institute has one of the best logistical bases in the Lobatchevsky State University of Nizhni Novgorod (several buildings for students, a library, a dormitory, sports halls) and meets the highest international requirements.
International activity of the Institute of Economics and entrepreneurship (IEE) aims to establish and develop sustainable links with foreign educational institutions, to strengthen international cooperation in educational and scientific spheres and to introduce of advanced educational technologies.
International cooperation creates opportunities for internationalization of education and integration of IEE into the international educational space.
Geography of international cooperation of the IEE is continually growing and expanding. The Institute has strong ties with Universities in Italy, France, Czech Republic, Kazakhstan, the Netherlands, the USA and other countries.
The IEE is actively involved in various international projects and programmes, such as TEMPUS and ERASMUS+, which allows increasing the mobility of students and stuff, access to information resources, increase in the research impact and learning efficiency.
In the framework of international programs implementation students, postgraduates and teachers of the Institute regularly hosts training, internship and professional development in foreign universities. Different grants are available for academic stuff and students.
We create modern educational programmes in Russian and English, organize international conferences, seminars and symposia, strengthen cultural ties, develop and enrich the cultural life of the University as a whole.
Lectures by famous scientists from Italy, Austria and other countries are delivered in the IEE, and Russian lecturers deliver lectures abroad.
Staff members of the IEE carry out serious scientific research on various topical issues of economic development, finance, management, etc. Staff members take part in grants, such as grants from the Russian Foundation for Basic Research, the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of Russia, etc. Graduate students work under the guidance of the Institute's professors. Staff members of the Institute take an active part in organizing and holding international and Russian scientific conferences.

Multi-disciplinary curriculum is delivered by highly qualifies professors and associate professors and prepares students for the economic and financial challenges. RUSSIAN –TAUGHT PROGRAMMES OF IEE
The IEE provides different types and forms of educational programmes in Russian: Bachelor’s degree programmes, Master’s programmes, Specialist programmes. The duration of every Bachelor’s degree programme is four years. The duration of every Master’s degree programme is two years. The duration of each Specialist programme is five years.
