Objectives

 To ensure the technological superiority of the Russian Federation on the horizon of 2030 in the following areas:

  • Nuclear power engineering and high-energy physics
  • Quantum technologies
  • Intelligent neuromorphic systems
  • Next-generation wireless communications
  • New materials engineering
  • Supercomputing mathematical models and AI

Key elements of the Megascience-class XCELS facility

Scalable silicon qubits efficiency: 100x

 Ultra-dense magnetic memory: 50x (up to 50 Tbit/inch2)

Next-generation AI systems based on neural hybrid systems

Frequency standards on H atoms with a  record accuracy (up to 8×10−17);

Single photon receivers for space-based laser communications

Metallic and ceramic structural heat resistant materials with record characteristics: 2x strength, 5x wear and corrosion resistance

Distributed supercomputer infrastructure based on MSU and UNN supercomputer centres
