On March 14, 2017, UNN students representing the football team of the Faculty for Intenational Students, Oluwafemi Samuel Abass (Nigeria), Sandro Pedro Matias (Angola), Luzala Pedro Diena (Angola), Mackferson Dos Santos Bendinha (Angola), Junior Mai Jimmy (Nigeria), Nyasha Munyarari (Zimbabwe) and Osmar Paulo Porfirio Soares (Angola) took part in a tour of the football stadium under construction, along with other Lobachevsky University students selected as volunteers for the upcoming World Cup in Nizhni Novgorod in 2018.

In the course of the tour, the builders and organizers demonstrated the progress of the construction work and introduced the students to the future opportunities offered by the stadium. They also provided detailed answers to potential volunteers’ numerous questions about the organization of future tournaments and about the future of the stadium after the World Cup.

In his interview to the media during the tour, Junior May Jimmy, a 2nd year student of the Bachelors program in International Relations, told about his great interest in the World Cup and about his dream of attending the game of his national team during the world tournament.
