Lobachevsky University takes part in EAIE 2017
Lobachevsky University took part in the joint exposition of the leading Russian universities participating in the 5-100 Project at the international educational Conference & Expo of the European Association for International Education - EAIE 2017, held in Seville, Spain, from September 12 to September 15, 2017. The EAIE Conference & Expo brought together over 6 000 higher education professionals from 95 countries. Lobachevsky University was represented by Vice-Rector for International Affairs Alexander Bedny and Head of the International Office Irina Leonova. UNN representatives signed a number of agreements aimed at expanding international partnership and cooperation, including such agreements with the University of Valencia (Spain), University of Cordoba (Spain), as well as agreements on the implementation of academic exchange programs with the University of Huelva (Spain) and with Vilnius University (Lithuania) in the framework of the Erasmus Plus grant.
During the Open Day, the UNN delegation visited one of Spain’s oldest universities, the University of Granada, which is a partner of the UNN, and held meetings with the Vice-Rector for internationalization Prof. Dorothy Kelly and Head of Spain’s only Center of the Russian World Foundation at the University of Granada Enrique Quero. During the talks, the parties discussed possible joint projects of Lobachevsky University and the University of Granada aimed at teaching and studying the Russian and Spanish language.
More than 150 higher education professionals representing universities and various organizations in the field of higher education visited the UNN stand, in addition to the meetings planned in advance. They included representatives from France, Great Britain, Germany, Austria, Malaysia, Ecuador, Mexico, Czech Republic, Slovenia, Turkey, USA, South Korea and other countries of the world.
EAIE Conference and Exhibition 2017 for the fourth time provided an excellent platform for Lobachevsky University to sign agreements on cooperation, to establish long-term relationships and to develop reliable and mutually beneficial relations with international partners in the field of higher education and science, and to strengthen the University's position in the world market of educational services.
