Second-year students of the Institute of International Relations and World History (IIRWH) of Lobachevsky University became the winners of the 17th All-Russian competition of school and university students "Do you know France and its regions?"  held from May 4 to May 7 in Moscow. Having demonstrated their excellent knowledge of history and regional studies, our students won the three top places: Egor Alyshev - the 1st place, Ekaterina Gorokhova – the 2nd place and Anastasia Dvoinishnikova – the 3rd place.

The winners of the competition were awarded short-term study visits to France during the summer vacation. The IIRWH team took part in the event under the guidance of their teacher, Head of the IIRWH French Center Olga Smirnova. The contest "Do you know France and its regions?" was organized by the Association of French Language Teachers with the assistance of the Agency for International Educational Cooperation and with the support of the Embassy of France in Russia.
