Meotida Archaeological Group Recruits Volunteers for Excavations in the Crimea
Meotida Archaeological Group is part of the Centre of Historical and Cultural Anthropology at UNN Institute of International Relations and World History. A team made of UNN students and staff conducts archaeological excavations to trace the earlier history of eastern Crimea.
The East-Crimean archaeological expedition of the Institute of Archaeology of the Russian Academy of Sciences is the academic partner of Meotida Archaeological Group.
Meotida Archaeological Group members include students in archaeology, who gain experience in archaeological field practice, and enthusiasts wishing to breathe the history of ancient monuments and help find ancient objects for study.
Volunteers are invited to get experience at a real archaeological dig.

Summer excavation sessions are scheduled to take place on:
August 1-15 (August 1 - arrival in Kerch, August 16 – departure)
August 11-24 (August 11 - arrival in Kerch, August 25 – departure)
For those participants who do not have experience of archaeological research, a series of seminars entitled ‘Introduction to Ancient Archaeology’ will be held in late June.
