On Tuesday, March 29, a student team from the Faculty for International Students performed at In This Big World Festival, the sixth annual International Culture Festival in Nizhny Novgorod. Held at Linguistics University of Nizhny Novgorod, the festival was attended by international students from all over the region.

The festival featured an essay contest, a concert, a round-table discussion and an annual student 'Festival of Nations' fair.

Congratulations to our contest winners and many thanks to everyone who were involved in making the festival a success.

Wang Can, Wang Zhirui and Dong Fei won, respectively, the first, second and third essay contest awards.

Serbian students from the preparatory course, Todor Filipov and Nemanja Culibrk took the second prize in a round-table discussion covering diverse family traditions and customs. Our second year students, Camila Velasquez Guzman, Nataly Ramirez Arteaga and Zhu Qidi, won the third place in this discussion competition.

Our team got a special prize for the best collage on the theme of ‘Surprising Things Next Door’ from the Nizhny Novgorod City Hall’s Committee for Foreign Economic and Interregional Affairs.

Many students offered well-presented dishes of traditional national cuisine and showed off their national dress at the 'Festival of Nations' fair. The festival ended with a concert, which featured a fiery Latin dance performed by Luis Jorge Puga Remes, Ivan Alberto Puga Remes, Alejandra Fabricia Chancafe Zarate, Angie Ximena Florez Hernandez, Andres Jose Puello Campuzano, Juan Sebastian Alvarado Cordero, Camila Andrea Garcia Buitrago, Margarita Navarro Pena and Nataly Ramirez Arteaga.

Our students from the preparatory course, Wang Can and Xiang Jin sang a song in Russian and Chinese.
