Lobachevsky University as a participant of Russian Academic Excellence Project 5-100 continues accreditation. The B.Sc. and M.Sc. in Chemistry, along with the B.A. and M.A. in International Relations, have been awarded international accreditation, for a period of six years, by the National Accreditation Centre (Yoshkar-Ola, Russia) together with the Higher Education Evaluation Center of the Ministry of Education of China.

This comes a year after accreditation for the M.A. and B.A. in Philology, the M.Sc. and B.Sc. in Software Engineering and the B.Sc. in Fundamental Computer Science and IT. Having programmes accredited demonstrates that the degrees in these fields meet high European and international standards.

The Standards and Guidelines for Quality Assurance in the European Higher Education Area (ESG) were produced and revised by the European Association for Quality Assurance in Higher Education (ENQA) and are an agreed set of standards, procedures and guidelines on quality assurance adopted by European academic community.
