Lobachevsky University Signs Agreement with Slovenia’s University Rehabilitation Institute
On Tuesday, November 24, Lobachevsky University signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with University Rehabilitation Institute, Republic of Slovenia.
University Rehabilitation Institute, Republic of Slovenia, is a public institution, founded in 1954, where over 1,000 students work with about 20,000 patients per annum. It includes rehabilitation and outpatient units, the Center for prosthetics and orthotics and the Center for vocational rehabilitation. The Institute successfully develops partnerships across the international university community.
The agreement was signed by Lobachevsky University Vice-Rector for Employer and Alumni Relations, Tatiana Bespalova, and General Director of University Rehabilitation Institute, Robert Cugelj.
“Most recently, a delegation of Lobachevsky University has been to Ljubljana, where we had an opportunity to tour University Rehabilitation Institute, Republic of Slovenia. The Institute for Rehabilitation and Health of Lobachevsky University is just beginning its work and we would like to apply the best European practices. So we look forward to working with colleagues in Ljubljana. At the initial stage, an emphasis is placed on the development of educational activities,” Vice-Rector Tatiana Bespalova said.
“We are honored that we are signing a Memorandum today. I am sure that today's signing will begin our successful collaboration. We are delighted to be working with a very important university in the education system of Russia to develop a training programme in rehabilitation,” General Director of University Rehabilitation Institute, Robert Cugelj, said.
