From June 15 to 18, the University of Calabria (Italy) received a visit from a delegation from Lobachevsky State University of Nizhni Novgorod (UNN) in celebration of the twentieth anniversary of the Russian-Italian University, which is the first ever dual degree programme launched between Russian and EU universities.

The delegation was led by UNN First Vice-Rector, Prof. Alexander Grudzinskiy. On his visit to the University of Calabria (UNICAL), Prof. Alexander Grudzinskiy met with Rector of the University of Calabria, Prof. Gino Mirocle Crisci, and Doctor Gianpiero Barbuto, responsible for international relations at UNICAL. UNN First Vice-Rector and Rector of the University of Calabria signed an updated partnership agreement on student exchange to reflect significant structural changes at the partner universities.

UNN delegates met with students and academics of the Russian-Italian University.

A working meeting of Programme coordinators was attended by Prof. Alexander Grudzinskiy, Assoc. Prof. Vladimir Grishagin, Prof. Yaroslav Sergeyev and Assoc. Prof. Davide Infante.

The Russian-Italian University is given an important place in the Roadmap of Global Competitiveness of Lobachevsky University as a Project 5-100 participant. The University of Calabria (Italy) has been a UNN partner for many years. There is considerable interaction between the two universities, with many joint projects in research and education.
