UNN First Vice-Rector Alexander Grudzinskiy was a member of Russia’s delegation that participated in the EHEA Ministerial Conference and Fourth Bologna Policy Forum held in Yerevan, Armenia on May 14-15, 2015. Russia’s delegation was led by Minister of Education and Science Dmitri Livanov.

First Vice-Rector Alexander Grudzinskiy is a member of the working group on the Bologna Process at the Ministry of Education and Science of the Russian Federation. The working group is headed by Aleksandr Klimov, Deputy Minister of Education and Science.

Russia joined the Bologna Process in 2003. Launched in 1999 by the Ministers of Education and university leaders, the Bologna Process was primarily aimed at creating a European Higher Education Area (EHEA) with transparency between higher education systems, recognition of degrees and academic qualifications, mobility, and exchanges between institutions.

The European Higher Education Area Ministerial Conference is held once every two years and is the main governing body of the Bologna Process.

Higher education ministers at the ninth EHEA Ministerial Conference in Yerevan, Armenia, welcomed Belarus as a new member of the EHEA. The Conference also adopted the Yerevan Ministerial Communiqu? describing the current stage of development of the European Higher Education Area and setting new priorities for the Bologna Process.
