Prof. Vladimir Shvetsov, Head of the Digital Division of Lobachevsky State University of Nizhni Novgorod (UNN), together with Assoc. Prof. Oleg Kuzenkov, Deputy Director of UNN Institute of IT, Mathematics and Mechanics, and Assistant Professor Ruslan Biryukov, visited the University Lyon 1 in France and participated in an EU-funded Tempus project meeting from March 11 to 14.

The EU Tempus-funded project ‘MetaMath: Modern Educational Technologies for Math Curricula in Engineering Education of Russia’ is a collaboration between European and Russian Higher Education Institutions. The intention of the project is to enhance the quality of teaching subjects counted as STEM (science, technology, engineering and mathematics) in Russia. Through participation in this project, Lobachevsky University is playing a leading role on behalf of Russian academia to help shape and deliver world-class STEM education for the benefit of the country.

The experts from UNN enjoyed the exchange of ideas with other participants and discussions of improved policies and practices.
