Anastasia Chervyakova, a student from UNN’s Faculty of Physical Education and Sports, has been named the best Russian badminton woman player by the National Badminton Federation of Russia according to the results of the vote on its official Website, released on January 13.  The award ceremony will be held at the Cup of Russia in late January.  

In 2014 Anastasia Chervyakova won gold in the women’s doubles at the Russian Championship and the Cup of Russia and took silver at badminton's European Championships. She is playing with Nina Vislova, the London 2012 Olympic bronze medalist.  

More recently, the pair won gold at Swedish Masters International Badminton Championships 2015, which was held from January 15 to 18 in Uppsala. In the decisive final match, Anastasia Chervyakova and Nina Vislova defeated players from the UK.
