Rector Evgeny Chuprunov led a delegation of Lobachevsky State University of Nizhni Novgorod (UNN) to Taipei, Taiwan for the 10th QS Asia Pacific Professional Leaders in Education – QS-APPLE, in a visit also seen as an opportunity for high-level talks between QS Asia and UNN who agreed earlier in this year to hold QS-APPLE in Nizhny Novgorod, Russia in late September 2015. This QS-APPLE, named “To Russia with Love”, will be the first in Russia and bring together international educators from across the world.

The 10th QS-APPLE, which was held from November 11 to 13, 2014 and considered a historic conference and exhibition, saw the signing of important documents by UNN Rector, Mr. Evgeny Chuprunov, and CEO of QS Asia Quacquarelli Symonds Pte Ltd, Ms. Mandy Mok. It is seen as especially significant because it lays the foundations for further fruitful cooperation.  As the mission of QS-APPLE is to ‘build world-class universities for regional communities through global partnership and collaboration’, UNN tries to ensure that Russian universities will benefit from these multiple opportunities for networking.

More than 200 higher education institutions from over 40 countries and all continents of the globe gathered together in this year’s QS-APPLE and took part in its plenaries and parallel sessions specially designed to meet participants’ needs and help anticipate developments in an increasingly global higher education market.
