The delegation of Lobachevsky State University of Nizhni Novgorod (UNN) took part in the 4th Annual Conference on Management and Social Sciences (ACMASS), which was held in Singapore from August 15 to 17, 2014.

UNN delegation was comprised of Nikita Avralev, Vice-Rector for Public Relations, Tatiana Bespalova, Vice-Rector for Employer and Alumni Relations, Alexander Gorylev, Head of the Centre for International Education, Irina Efimova, Head of the Public Relations Office, and Prof. Dmitry Baluev, Head of the Department of Applied Political Science of the Institute of International Relations and World History. They participated in two sessions: Education and Politics, Culture, Law.

Nikita Avralev and Irina Efimova highlighted the role of University Rankings in the assessment of the quality of education in a globalised world. Alexander Gorylev explained how to use a Competence Approach for designing academic programs in law.

The 4th Annual Conference on Management and Social Sciences (ACMASS 2014) also sought to ‘foster research relations between universities and industry’ and provided opportunities for the delegates to find new partners.

During the trip, there were negotiations with Ms Mandy Mok, CEO of QS Asia Quacquarelli Symonds, and other managers of the company over the prospect of cooperation and current joint projects to enhance UNN competitiveness. Mandy Mok will make a presentation at Performance Improvement Seminar which will be held in Nizhny Novgorod on September 22, 2014.
