UNN Master’s student in Radio Physics wins a prize in International Conference SigmaPhi2014
A research presentation made by Miss Anna Kharcheva, Master’s student in Radio physics at Lobachevsky State University of Nizhni Novgorod, won the € 500 first prize in the International Conference on Statistical Physics SigmaPhi2014, which was held in Rhodes, Greece on July 7-12, 2014.
Her presentation, entitled ‘Effect of Potential Barrier on Correlation Characteristics of Steady-state Levy Flights in Bistable Potential’, was given in the workshop ‘Anomalous Diffusion’ and chosen as the best work on Foundations of Statistical Physics. It was prepared under the close supervision of Alexander Dubkov, Head of Mathematics Department at Lobachevsky State University of Nizhni Novgorod, who also participated in the conference and made a poster presentation ‘Superdiffusion As a Result of Mechanical Work’.
Anna Kharcheva is exempt from paying registration fees for the next conference in 2017.
The International Conference SigmaPhi2014 was held at a beautiful resort, and it covered all fields of Statistical Physics.
