A picturesque square in the middle of Bolshaya Pokrovskaya Street, near UNN Faculty of Philology, hosts a free outdoor science-themed movie screening preceded by an introductory lecture of UNN scientists and followed by questions and answers every Thursday, at 9 p.m.

Metallurgy, radio physics, radiobiology and mathematics are told in an impressive manner. A lecture audience of different ages and occupations is suddenly moved by new science revelations, and then it feels relieved as the explications proceed.

On July 31, the closing evening movie about the evolution of life and development of Homo sapiens will be offered. The lecture audience will meet with Sergey Shustov, Candidate of Sciences (PhD) in Chemistry, biologist and winner of Russian Geographical Society award, who is most famous for the creation of ‘Illustrated Encyclopedia of Russian Nature’ and field station Serezha in a picturesque village.
