It was very fun to spend a summer month in Nizhny Novgorod, a city where people are friendly and helpful. What I enjoyed most during this summer programme was the Russian cultural workshops (Christmas tree decorations, knitting, matryoshka, and so on) and a city tour to Gorodets. Every art craft we made turned into an extraordinary Russian souvenir!

Another experience worth relating is life in the student dormitory. The floor ladies in charge were very helpful and, of course, kept us speaking Russian.

But for sure, the summer school is nothing without a fun Russian language class. I got a nice, small-sized class with an interactive teacher who kept us motivated to speak and express our interests in the class.
