On April 26, a delegation from Turku (Finland) visited Lobachevsky University. The delegation was headed by the Mayor of Turku Alexi Rundell and also included: Tony Eklund, First Deputy Chairman of the Turku City Board, Niko Kyynäräinen, Executive Director of the Turku Science Park, Vesa Taatila, Rector of the Turku University of Applied Sciences, Mika Akkaknen, Head of the International Relations Department of the Turku Administration, Tuomas Heikkinen,  Director of Administration group, city of Turku, and interpreter Olga Hirvirinne. 

The guests were welcomed by the UNN Rector Evgeny Chuprunov, Vice-Rector for International Affairs Alexander Bedny, Head of International Office Irina Leonova and Deputy Head of International Office  Dmitry Kolesnikov. Evgeny Chuprunov gave a presentation on Lobachevsky University and told the guests about the prospects for its development. The members of the Finnish delegation also learned about the contacts established between the UNN and major universities in Finland. Representatives of the Finnish delegation expressed hope for the development of cooperation with Lobachevsky University.  The parties will begin in the near future a more detailed discussion of possibilities for collaboration and interaction in various fields.
