International Master of Sports Anastasia Chervyakova, a student of the UNN Faculty of Physical Education and Sports, took third place at the European Badminton Championships. The event was held from 25 to 30 April in the Danish city of Kolding in Southern Denmark. Anastasia achieved this success in the women's doubles together with Olga Morozova from Moscow. In the quarter-finals Anastasia and Olga beat the Dutch pair Efie Mouskens / Selena Peak - 19:21, 21:16, 21:14, but the future champions from Denmark Camille Ritter Jul and Christine Pedersen proved stronger than our girls in the semifinals - 10:21, 13:21. This is Anastasia's first success in the personal European Championships. Prior to that, she was three times the winner of the European team championships as a member of the Russian national team.
