Students of Lobachevsky University participated in the XXVIII Summer Universiade 2015 in Gwangju (South Korea)
From July 3 to July 14, 2015, the city of Gwangju (South Korea) hosted the XXVIII Summer Universiade 2015. Over the course of 11 days, the athletes competed in 21 sport events for the total of 272 medals.
UNN was represented by three students of the Faculty of Physical Education and Sports: swimmer Oleg Kostin, fencer Rostislav Krasilnikov, and badminton player Anastasiya Chervyakova.

On July 6, Faculty for International Students of Lobachevsky University launched the annual summer school "Russian Summer"
The school brings together students from 16 countries of the world (USA, Great Britain, Germany, Spain, France, Turkey, China, Mexico, Brazil, India, Angola, Bangladesh, Indonesia, Cameroon, Congo, Nigeria). The curriculum includes intensive studies of beginner and intermediate Russian, as well as classes on history of culture of Russia.

Lobachevsky University launches the third Russian SPF-Vivarium designed to conduct world-level study of causes and treatments for schizophrenia, epilepsy, and Alzheimer's disease
The Institute of Biology and Biomedicine of Lobachevsky University created the SPF-Vivarium equipped with life support systems for lab animals (mice), surgical room and equipment, full scale behavior pattern testing site to evaluate the functional state of the central nervous system of rats and mice.There are only two other institutions like this in Russia (in Puschino and in Novosibirsk State University), Lobachevsky University now has the third one.

According to this study, Lobachevsky University holds one of the leading positions. The study analysed the salaries of young professionals with work experience in their respective field, who received a diploma during 2009-2014.
