Two years ago I visited St. Petersburg. Then I thought that if I had known even a little bit of the Russian language my trip would have been even more awesome. That's why I started learning Russian.

I was a student at the Faculty of Philology of Lobachevsky University in Nizhny Novgorod, and during the first two weeks I couldn’t understand anything during my classes. But gradually I began to understand more, and eventually I understood 80 percent of my classes.

I liked my teachers. They always had something interesting for every class to stimulate students to learn better. I want to thank all of them.

I liked living in Nizhny Novgorod, especially the fact that everything was cheap compared to other Russian cities – tuition, housing, transportation, food. The Dean's Office always helped international students, and the university often held exciting events and tours. It really helped me to meet new people and learn more about the city.

There were many students of different nationalities in the dorm, but everyone was nice and friendly.

Life in Nizhny Novgorod invigorated me.
