Main research areas:

Physiology, biomechanics and diagnosis of the postural control system; rehabilitation of patients with age-related  diseases (ARD); training and education of specialists in the field of physical rehabilitation of patients with ARD

Research objective:

To develop new methodological approaches for rehabilitation aimed at improving functional mobility, everyday activities, quality of life and prolonging active longevity of patients with ARD.

Key results:

A comprehensive research programme and algorithm for assessing postural control function in patients with ARD and a comprehensive rehabilitation programme for patients with ARD aimed at improving postural control, functional mobility,  everyday activities, quality of life and prolonging active longevity have been developed.
Results of innovative training: 42 physical therapists  (physical rehabilitation specialists) have been trained to work with patients with ARD. Currently, 55 physical therapists, 24 occupational therapists and 10 clinical speech therapists are being trained to work with patients with ARD.
