Lobachevsky University was named among the winners of the nation-wide contest for a government subsidy to implement complex projects aimed at creating high-tech production facilities. A total of 228 applications were submitted from all over the country, out of which 32 projects were selected. Among the winners is the joint project of Lobachevsky University, Volga State Technological University, Volzhsk Electromechanical Plant JSC (Volzhsk) and the Institute of Informatics and Automation of the Russian Academy of Sciences (St. Petersburg). This project is focused on the development of a medical exoskeleton intended for rehabilitation of patients with disabilities. The project will run for 3 years with a total amount of federal funding of 140 million roubles.
