11 projects of UNN young scientists to receive grant support from the Russian Science Foundation
11 projects of Lobachevsky University's young scientists have become winners of competitions for grants of the Russian Science Foundation under the Presidential Programme of Research Projects. Thus, in the 2024 competition UNN is among Russia’s ten universities with the largest number of approved applications.
Seven projects were included in the final list of the competition "Initiative Research by Young Scientists" and four in the final list of the competition "Research by Research Groups under the Leadership of Young Scientists". These projects include research in various fields of chemistry, physics, biology, as well as information technology, ecology, sociology and history.
"Supporting young talents is one of our key priorities. The fact that Lobachevsky University is among the universities with the largest number of approved applications in this competition shows that our efforts are paying off. The groundwork for these successes has been laid by a galaxy of outstanding scientists, around whom strong scientific schools have been formed. They are successfully developing, and we confidently win in areas in which we are traditionally strong. It is important that one of the projects that received support is being implemented at the Advanced Engineering School of Lobachevsky University. It means that the task of training personnel with academic background, applied competences and experience of real practical work is being solved successfully," said UNN Rector Oleg Trofimov.
