30 international students from Lobachevsky University receive practical training at Arzamas hospital

International students from Lobachevsky University, citizens of Egypt, Algeria, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan and Bangladesh, will assist doctors and nurses at the Arzamas Central City Hospital under the watchful eye of senior nurses. They will undergo a two-week practical training period in the therapeutic, gynaecological, neurological and surgical departments as well as the surgery and intensive care units of the hospital.

The medical students help nurses, learn how to give injections and administer intravenous fluids, use medical equipment, and become familiar with the general requirements of working in a hospital.

"The trainees are in good hands! Experienced mentors and multidisciplinary patients at the largest hospital in the south of the Nizhny Novgorod region will provide good experience for the future medics. We look forward to seeing them in a few years in our friendly team," said Oleg Kurakhtanov, Head Physician of the Central City Hospital in Arzamas.
