Arriving by Plane

Strigino airport of Nizhny Novgorod is located 18 km from the city center. In order to get from the airport to the city you can take a bus, a taxi or rent a car. The easiest and most reliable way is to take a taxi. You can use the services of the official airport taxi (in which case you can contact the information desk to call the car) or use a smartphone app like Uber, Gett or Yandex Taxi. The cost is about 800 rubles to get to the city center.

Arriving by Train and Bus

In case you choose to travel to Nizhny Novgorod by train or bus, you will arrive at the Central (Moskovskiy) Railway Station of Nizhny Novgorod. Here are many options to get to any point of the city: buses, minibuses, metro or taxi.

Nizhny Novgorod railway station has a connection to Moskovskaya metro station. You can get it through an underground passage without leaving the station building, or follow the information signs when you leave the train station.

You can get to the city center by reaching Gor’kovskaya station. This is just one stop from Moskovskaya. The train arrives at Maxim Gorky’s Square.

The trip costs 28 rubles. You can purchase a ticket at the ticket offices at the metro station, as well as by contactless payment by a bankcard directly at the turnstile.

The Central railway station is also a major transport hub and many buses pass through the station and connect it to any point of the city.

Taxi services are also available. You can call a taxi with a mobile app (Uber, Gett, Yandex Taxi), or by using the services at the station information desk. The cost depends on the distance and may range from 50 up to 500 rubles within the city.
