"800 years over the Volga and Oka"
On May 14, a team of Lobachevsky University international students won the All-Russian Olympiad in Russian as a foreign language and in regional country studies "800 years over the Volga and Oka" held at the Privolzhsky Research Medical University. Lobachevsky University was represented by the students of the Institute of Biology and Biomedicine Alaskar Raad, Monzer Makram, Sellidj Mohamed Rayane and Aleksandra Radinović (Centre of Educational Programmes for Foreigners).
Taking part in the Olympiad were the teams of Nizhny Novgorod higher education institutions (University of Architecture and Civil Engineering, Linguistic University, Technical University, State Conservatory, Privolzhsky Research Medical University) and representatives of Higher School of Economics from Moscow. As part of the competition, participants demonstrated their knowledge of the history and modernity of Nizhny Novgorod and took part in the contest for the best recitation of a piece of poetry about our city.
