For many international students having the opportunity to try cross-country skiing in their home country is very limited due to the lack of snow, but in Russia the opportunities are plentiful for a lot of the academic year.

Our International Faculty has plenty of opportunities to try the sport throughout the course of a student’s stay with us although mastering the technique for this sport can lead to new doors being opened in a persons life. Here at UNN we can coach from a beginner’s level to an expert level with as much patience as it takes for you to be successful in a sport Russia is famous for. Skiing can be a great sport for you to realize your goals by building basic core fitness components such as strength, stamina, speed e.g.

UNN has a sports set-up primed for those wishing to play and compete Cross-Country Skiing at any level, with dedicated coaches and specialist facilities including all the equipment a person needs to participate within the sport.

UNN welcomes participants from all those interested regarding your previous experience within Skiing. Below is listing the times of the Training Times although there are no graded classes scheduled for this discipline. Classes for Cross Country Skiing takes place at the Schelokovsky Sports Complex in Nizhny Novgorod as UNN does not have any on site facilities dedicated to Skiing.
