AI safeguarding investments: UNN student’s project wins first place at an international competition
Nikita Sidorov, a master's student at the UNN Institute of Economics, won first place at the 28th International Youth Economics Research Competition. During the second stage, the jury reviewed 428 competition entries prepared by young researchers from 69 regions of Russia. The event was organised by the Free Economic Society of Russia.
Nikita's research on the topic "AI Assistant for an Investor in the Russian Stock Market" received the highest award following a competitive selection from over 3,000 research papers submitted by young researchers from across the country. The study was conducted as part of the student research circle "Artificial Intelligence," supervised by Associate Professor Andrei Sochkov from the Department of Information Technology and Instrumental Methods in Economics.
It should be noted that Nikita Sidorov is also an active participant in the project "Developing a Digital Twin of the Regional Economy" that the UNN Institute of Economics carries out under the Priority 2030 programme.
The competition final was held in Moscow, at the Congress Hall of the Free Economic Society of Russia. The winners will be officially awarded at the Moscow Academic Economic Forum (MAEF-2026).
