Alexey Moskalev tells about the prospects of healthy longevity medicine

Professor Alexey Moskalev, Director of the UNN Institute of Biology of Aging, made a presentation at the session "Looking Beyond the Limits of What’s Possible: Can We Freeze the Aging Process"? His presentation at the "Healthy Society" forum in Moscow  focused on the prospects of healthy longevity medicine.

Alexey Moskalev emphasised the importance of taking care of one's health from an early age and throughout life, and presented the concept of aging as a chronic autoinflammatory condition requiring prevention and treatment. He also discussed anti-aging strategies, including maintaining homeostasis at all levels of the human organism, and presented a number of potential geroprotective substances. Particular attention was given to multi-parametric systems of biological age estimation and prospects for their use in clinical trials.

In conclusion, specific steps were proposed for the development of healthy longevity medicine in Russia, including the establishment of specialised clinics, large-scale clinical trials, and adjustments to the regulatory framework.
