All-Russian Conference "Biosystems: Organisation, Behaviour, Management" opens at UNN

The 77th All-Russian School and Conference of Young Scientists "Biosystems: Organisation, Behaviour, Management" opened at Lobachevsky University on 15 April. Taking part in the event are students, postgraduates, young researchers and university professors.

The aim of the conference is to foster research activities of young scientists and teachers, to present scientific results, to get in touch with leading scientists, to exchange experience and to discuss "hot topics" in biology. The conference runs from 15 to 19 April 2024.

Scientists representing leading scientific centres will give review lectures on current trends in the development of promising areas of biology. The programme includes reports by young researchers in the main areas of biology, biotechnology and biomedicine.

The opening ceremony was attended by Nikita Avralev, Vice-Rector for Strategic Development, and Maria Vedunova, Director of the UNN Institute of Biology and Biomedicine.

"The conference is held annually, it has already become a hallmark of our Institute of Biology and Biomedicine. It is one of the oldest conferences not only in the Nizhny Novgorod region, but also in our country. Biology and biomedicine are among the strategic and most important research areas at UNN. Traditionally, Lobachevsky University ranks among the top ten leading universities in Russia. Leading international and Russian scientists work with us. We are looking forward to young and motivated students joining us," Nikita Avralev welcomed the guests.

For some people today's conference is far from the first, but almost every employee of the Institute of Biology and Biomedicine had in their life their first conference "Biosystems: Organisation, Behaviour, Management".
