On September 26, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Czech Republic to Russia Vitezslav Pivonka met with UNN professors and students at the Czech Center of Lobachevsky University. The high guest was greeted by Vice-Rector for International Affairs Alexander Bedny, Head of the International Affairs Department Irina Leonova, First Deputy Director of the UNN Institute of Philology and Journalism Andrei Bureev, the founder of the UNN Czech Center Stanislav Rylov, Assistant Director of the Institute of Philology and Journalism for International Relations Dmitry Kolesnikov, Head of Department for Teaching Russian as a Foreign Language Ludmila Ruchina, and students of the Institute of Philology and Journalism.

It was Vitiezslav Pivonka’s first visit to Lobachevsky University after he took office in May 2018. During the visit, the Czech delegation got acquainted with the history and activities of the University and the Czech Center. The parties also discussed prospects for further cooperation. At the end of the meeting, the Ambassador answered the students' questions.

"I am very proud that your university has been cooperating with Masaryk university in Brno and with other Czech universities for so long and I appreciate the fact that our students are friends - this is a good basis for our relations in the future," said Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Czech Republic to Russia Vitezslav Pivonka.
