Anastasia Maksimova, student of the Faculty of Physical Education and Sport of Lobachevsky University became the Olympic Champion in Rio.

With the Russian rhythmic gymnastics team

On August 19-21, Maksimova was member of the golden winning Russian rhythmic gymnastics team (together with Anastasiia Tatareva, Maria Tolkacheva, Anastasia Bliznyuk, Vera Biryukova) that won gold at the 2016 Summer Olympics held in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, leaving behind teams from Israel, Brazil, Italy, Ukraine, China, Japan, Greece, Uzbekistan, Bulgaria, Belarus, USA, Spain, and Germany. Congratulations  to  our  champion !
