Anti-Drug Event at Lobachevsky University

On December 4, the Anti-Drug Event was held at Lobachevsky University. This event has already become a hallmark of the Programme of international students' social initiatives "I Care - I Can".  It is aimed at informing students about the detrimental effects of narcotic drugs.

With the support of employees of the Drug Control Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Nizhny Novgorod region, the UNN Youth Policy and Educational Work Department and the UNN Security Department, the project participants explained to their fellow international students the dangers of drug use, as well as ways to resist harmful habits. This was presented in an entertaining and clearly understandable form.

"The Anti-Drug Event is, first and foremost, a decisive response of young people to the challenge that drug addiction poses to youth. The fact that young people not only resist, but also actively participate in anti-drug activities, conducting such awareness-raising work among their friends and acquaintances, is worthy of respect and the highest praise!", said Dmitry Medvedev, Head of the UNN Students Support Office and Head of the Programme of international students' social initiatives "I Care - I Can".

Over 160 international and Russian students took part in the event.

The Anti-Drug Event project, which is implemented as part of the Programme of international students' social initiatives "I Care - I Can", has on several occasions been highly commended and won prizes within the framework of activities organised by the Drug Control Department.
