Anti-Drug Event held at Lobachevsky University

The Anti-Drug Event, organized by the UNN International Student Club, was held at Lobachevsky University on November 10 in the format of an online broadcast. The participants performed without spectators in the hall, in front of cameras, which allowed them to reach a wider audience of students. The Anti-Drug Event is a part of the project "Forum on prevention of negative phenomena among young people", implemented with the support of a grant from the Federal Agency for Youth Affairs (Rosmolodezh).

Alexander Bedny, UNN Vice-Rector for International Affairs, greeted the event participants and spectators:

"Dear friends, dear students! Unfortunately, the threat of illegal drugs trafficking is still a very serious problem among young people. But exactly the awareness of responsibility for one's own life, for one's own deeds, for the choices one makes is a very important factor in the fight against this evil. At Lobachevsky University, we hold on a regular basis such events designed to unite our multinational student audience in the pursuit of a healthy lifestyle. For obvious reasons, today's Anti-Drug Event is held online, but our students, our  brilliant performers did their best to bring to the many viewers the important message that drugs are not compatible with the future, that they deprive people of health, life and dreams. It is very remarkable that the organizers and participants of today's event are students themselves. They come from different countries, speak different languages, but understand each other very well, because joint creative work, the art of theater, dance and music are equally accessible and understandable to everyone. This is a universal language of communication, which allows you to convey a very serious message."

This evening, in addition to anti-drug information block, the audience was presented a concert with creative performances under the general motto "Build bridges, not walls."
