Bachelor's programme "Medical Physics" opens at UNN

The degree programme "Medical Physics" has been launched at Lobachevsky University by the decision of the UNN Academic Council. The new bachelor's programme will be implemented within the area of study 03.03.02 "Physics".

"Applicants who have passed their Unified State Exam (USE) in physics and the Russian language, and can provide their USE results in mathematics, computer science and ICT or chemistry as a third subject, can qualify for the programme. Our programme focuses on training physicists who work at the interface between physics and medicine. Upon completing their studies, graduates will be able to apply their knowledge and skills in healthcare settings as specialists in the operation of medical equipment. At the same time, they will have the opportunity to continue their studies and conduct research on the development of high-tech medical equipment and physical methods used in clinical practice," said Ekaterina Zaytseva, head of the Medical Physics programme and Deputy Dean of the UNN Faculty of Physics.

Furthermore, a master's programme in this field is being developed at Lobachevsky University.
