"Boldino Readings" Jubilee International Research Conference starts at Lobachevsky University
The 50th jubilee International Research Conference "Boldino Readings" started at UNN on September 12. It will continue until September 16. More than 50 scientific reports and presentations will be made by participants from Russia, Belarus, Ukraine, Moldova, Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan, Serbia, Germany, Japan, USA, Canada in the in-person and remote format.
The opening session of the conference took place on September 13 in the exhibition hall of the A.S. Pushkin Museum-Reserve "Boldino". Research sessions will be held on September 14-16, 2022 at the Institute of Philology and Journalism of Lobachevsky University.
The conference was first held at the Boldino Museum in 1969. The idea to hold the Boldino Readings and the conference concept belong to Georgy Krasnov, Professor of Lobachevsky University, the founder of the scientific school of Pushkin studies in Nizhny Novgorod, and Yudif Levina, who was the Director of the Museum-Reserve "Boldino" in 1960s-1970s. "Boldino readings" shaped a special type of Pushkin studies, which became the “golden assets” of national science, and gave a start to research careers of several generations of Pushkinists.
