Budget Places for Programs in Medicine at UNN

Lobachevsky University follows the latest world and Russian tendencies in the development of education. The University has implemented its own innovations in the admission campaign this year.

In 2019 the Lobachevsky University of Nizhny Novgorod has announced admission to budget places in the programs Medical Biophysics, Medical Chemistry and Medical Cybernetics that were opened two years ago. To understand the competition size it is enough to know that the entrance level in the area Medical Biochemistry achieved 262 points. It is the level of the most popular areas such as Law and International Relations.

During the 2019 admission campaign such areas as Information Technologies, Physics and Nanotechnologies were popular among the applicants. Until the end of August Lobachevsky University continues fee-paying admission to all the areas including newly-opened Conflictology, Judicial and Prosecutorial Activities, Recreation and Sport Tourism, Dentistry and General Medicine. Students choosing the medical areas will do practice in leading medical institutions of Nizhny Novgorod.

«The quality of education in new areas of studies at Lobachevsky Univrersity is at a high level, — says the acting Rector Kirill Markov. — We are provided with all the necessary facilities and staff. We look into the future with confidence and hope to get budget places in these areas within a few years».

Establishing a new hostel for 650 students has become a big event for Lobachevsky University in 2019. There is a canteen, a gym, classrooms and a medical cabinet in the new hostel. Besides, students with disabilities also can live there. The Lobachevsky University campus is developing in response to the increasing number of students.
