Chinese culture festival at Lobachevsky University

The beginning of spring at Lobachevsky University was heralded by a colourful international student event - a festival of Chinese culture. The two-day event was organized in cooperation with the Glinka State Conservatory of Nizhny Novgorod and took place at two venues at once.

On Thursday, March 3, a concert prepared mainly by Lobachevsky University international students was held in the Small Hall of the Glinka State Conservatory. They performed instrumental and vocal numbers, pieces of world classical music, jazz and pop. Daria Golovanova, a first-year student of the UNN Institute of International Relations and World History, appeared on the stage with a song in Chinese "My heart beats only for you".

On the second day of the festival, on March 4, creative master classes were held at the UNN dormitory No. 9.

The students were introduced to the basics of Chinese calligraphy and learned how to make traditional Chinese lanterns.

This event continues a good tradition. In 2021, the UNN Fundamental Library hosted a concert as well as master classes to celebrate the Chinese New Year.
