On February 15, the Department for work with international students, jointly with the UNN Career Center, the Institute of International Relations and World History, and the UNN International Students Club staged the Chinese New Year youth festival. The guests, who included Nizhny Novgorod university and high school students, were welcomed by Alexander Bedny, Vice-Rector for International Affairs. This colorful festival, with its master classes in Chinese calligraphy, language, handicraft and Chinese cuisine, provided an opportunity for everyone to become better acquainted with the culture and traditions of China. The presentation prepared by the students introduced the guests to the activities of the UNN Career Center and the Institute of International Relations and World history. The quiz on culture and history of China provided an opportunity for direct communication between Russian and Chinese participants, and the dynamic performances during the concert caused a storm of emotions among the audience.

The Chinese students who participated in the festival received an invitation to visit the Nizhny Novgorod State Art Museum. The members of the team that won the quiz got UNN albums as their prize, and all the participants of the celebration received the famous Chinese tea as a gift. During the tea party, the young people continued communicating with each other and took a photo in front of the dragon, the symbol of the festival.
